The first platform can weigh larger amounts of up to 11 pounds in 0.1 oz increments, suitable for ingredients like flours. The dual reading backlit display allows the user to see the weights of both platforms simultaneously. Each weighing platform has a Tare feature, enabling users to zero out the weight of containers or reset the display between ingredients. The stainless steel platforms are easy to clean, simply wiping them down with a damp cloth, and the slim design allows for easy storage.
The scale's maximum capacity is as follows: platform 1 - 11 lb x 0.1 oz and 5000 g x 1 g, platform 2 - 16 oz x 0.001 oz and 500 g x 0.01 g. The stainless steel surfaces are durable, wiping up quickly and not staining or retaining food odors.
One unique feature of this scale is the two-line backlit LCD readout, which calculates the weights for both platforms simultaneously. The Tare feature allows users to weigh all ingredients into a single container, zeroing out the weight between additions, or to zero the weight of any container before adding food.
Powered by three (3) AAA batteries (included), the scale will auto shut-off after 3 minutes of no change in weight on the platform. For easy cleaning, the scale should be hand-washed only and not immersed in water or placed in the dishwasher. For best results, it should be wiped with a damp cloth and dried thoroughly.
